Visit w/ Big Nana

As you can see, Brooke hogged all the Nana time! So her Great Aunts didn't get much time...

Brooke had a blast painting and talking art ... I didn't let her do much art in the back seat on the trip so this was awesome for her.

Brooke got to do some painting w/ her Big Nana ... Nana gave her a couple of paint brushes and taught her how to make waterfalls.

In this pic Brooke appears to be up to something. I found out later she had taken Grandpa for $20.00 in a poker game!

Brooke w/ Grandpa Brown

Skipping ahead in our trip... On our way out of Crappy Califorina, We had a great visit with Grandpa Brown. Brooke, got to see ALL of her grandparents on our trip...VERY SPECIAL!

Brooke made the local news by whooping Brandon and I at the duck races!

Here we are in our new rocking chair...

Brooke, wiggin out!

First Place... Brandon and Brooke raced the go-carts. They started all the way in the back of the pack but worked their way to the front and pulled out a first place finish. Yeah, they kicked ass! I'm thinking of putting a baja 1000 team together, Brooke can navigate for Brandon through the course. Now, i just need sponsors. This is a good idea, while their racing and earning some mula, Shannon and I will be on the Mexican beaches w/ umbrella drinks!

Just some photo's of all of us playing.

Bouncing around

So, it turns out we are missing some pics ... so from this point forward, we'll have to go back and forth. That being said, here are some pics of our visit w/ Brandon, Ashley, Wyatt. Brooke loves her cousin.

Brooke's future room and bathroom. We're going to paint the room pink for her.

Here is the master bedroom and bath. It has Jack and Jill sinks and walk in closets.

Here's the kitchen and dinning room. It's a lot bigger than we're used too.

The entryway and living room. The front door is awesome and lights up the entry.

The new house...

So, I'm skipping ahead...I'll get back to the story of our PCS/move later. Anyway, here is a picture of the new house. We love it.

Buffalo Wings!

So as we entered beautiful British Columbia and had a much different road hazards .... BUFFALO! We counted a total of 55 buffalo along the road (no telling how many we missed in the treeline). They are so BIG and beautiful (and yes... Iwanted to shoot one)! Anyway, they literally rule the road; if their sunning on the road, you wait! After we left B.C. we headed into Edmenton for some shopping at the worlds largest mall.

The "ugly" countryside

Shannon got sick and tired of me saying take a picture of "this and that" as we drove through Canada. Everything was so beautiful with the snow on the mountains and the changing colors of the forest below. So here is a few of the photos we took as we drove down the highway.

Good bye Alaska ... Hello Canada (and $5.00 a gallon for gas)

As we crossed into Canada, we stopped at the boundary line ... at one point, Brooke's butt-crack was the boundary, half of her was in the U.S. and half was in Canada. From here we had to face the worst part of the Alcan highway, about 100 miles of serious potholes and gravel road. We really had a good time on the road camping out along the Alcan.

At Santa's house in the North Pole

Well, We missed Santa. Turns out, he leaves in early October to go back to the workshop and make final arrangments for Christmas. Brooke did get to sit in the big guy's chair and visit with the reindeer so all and all it was a good time.

Starting our trip...about 150 miles into a 5000 trip

Here is a pic of Brooke, Shannon and Roxy as we started our trip to New Mexico...About 3 hours in we found this beutiful view of Mt. McKinley.
